My Dishwaher Powder became hard and clumped in my dishwasher.Updated 3 months ago
Sometimes dishwashers cannot form a seal tight enough to keep the water out and this happens. When the product is soaked, it should fully dissipate, but if there's water in your detergent receptacle and the powder gets a bit wet before the wash cycle this could cause a premature clump that then solidifies.
It may also be the soap receptacle itself. There is a gasket around the part of the tray that closes, if this gasket is worn out, broken, or otherwise compromised the powder may be absorbing all of the humidity and splash of the dishwasher's wetting cycle, and so when the tray opens during the wash cycle the powder inside had already gotten wet and clumped.
You could try cleaning out the receptacle, and making sure its completely dry. Or, if possible, remove the seal and place it back in.
Give these a try and let us know if anything changes. Sorry to hear about this experience!
